UK gin brands Opihr and Bloom have revealed new additions to their pre-mixed drink ranges.
Bloom’s new Passionfruit Soda combines passionfruit and vanilla blossom gin with soda water. The sparkling drink is available in 275ml glass bottles and comes in at 6.5% ABV. It joins two other beverages in the Bloom ready-to-drink range, Bloom Rose Lemonade and Bloom Gin & Tonic, all developed by Bloom’s master distiller Joanne Moore.
Elaine Maher, Bloom Gin global brand director, said: “Gin consumers are constantly looking for new and exciting flavours. We are delighted to be giving them exactly what they want – a new ready-to-drink that’s not only made with zero sugar but packed with flavour.”
Meanwhile, Opihr has added a Gin & Tonic with Grapefruit to its range of ready-to-drink stubby bottles. The 6.5% ABV pre-mixed drink blends Opihr’s spiced gin with Asian pomelo grapefruit and premium tonic.
It joins Opihr’s two existing ready-to-drink beverages, Gin & Tonic with a Dash of Ginger and Gin & Tonic with a Twist of Orange. Each comes in a 275ml bottle, adorned with designs which take inspiration from ancient Asian and European spice routes.
The new releases come after both Bombay Sapphire and Gordon’s announced new additions to their ready-to-drink gin ranges earlier this month. Such releases are an acknowledgement that the desire for convenient, on-the-go options – which skyrocketed in popularity last year as Covid-19 pushed more social gatherings outside – is here to stay.
Bloom Passionfruit Soda and Opihr Gin & Tonic with Grapefruit are available now from Sainsbury’s in stores and online.
