Bombay Sapphire and Gordon’s have announced new additions to their ready-to-drink (RTD) ranges.
Following the launch of its first gin and tonic cans in 2020, Bombay Sapphire is adding two new products to its range: Bombay Bramble and Tonic, using its berry-flavoured expression, and Bombay Sapphire and Light Tonic. The to-go drinks are now available in the UK and US.
Natasha Curtin, Bombay Sapphire global vice president, said: “Summer is just around the corner and the popularity of ready-to-drink just continues to grow. Whether it’s al-fresco events, relaxing at home, entertaining friends or on the move, the pre-mix is skilfully crafted to showcase the signature juniper and citrus notes of Bombay Sapphire gin.”

Meanwhile, Gordon’s has added a non-alcoholic option to its RTD range with its Gordon’s 0.0% alcohol-free spirit and tonic cans. It joins a healthy pre-mixed beverage range from the gin brand, which includes Gordon’s London Dry Gin and Tonic and Gordon’s Pink Gin and Tonic.
Charlotte Gibbon, GB head of marketing at Gordon’s, said: “We know that opting to go alcohol free, especially whilst you’re out socialising, often means having to compromise on taste and experience. This exciting innovation offers a solution for those on-the-go consumers who still want to enjoy the zesty taste of Gordon’s but are choosing not to have alcohol.”
The new releases come amid the easing of lockdown restrictions in England and other parts of the UK, meaning people can meet up in groups outside.
In the past year, the need to socialise more outdoors has accelerated growing demand for RTDs. According to industry figures, the pre-mixed drink category is set to grow by almost one-third in the next four years.
Bombay Bramble and Tonic and Bombay Sapphire and Light Tonic will be hitting shelves at UK retailers including Ocado, Waitrose and Nisa through April and May. Gordon’s 0.0% and Tonic cans will be available from Sainsbury’s.
