David T. Smith

Nose
Enchanting of exotic spice: cardamom, cumin and ginger, and the bright sparkle of citrus. Bold, aromatic and inviting.

Palate
Spicy coriander seed to start, followed by some green menthol notes. Complex, with a lovely balance and a real progression.

Finish
The gentle warmth of ginger, before the lingering flavours of cardamom.

Comments
An exciting gin with plenty to explore and a good example of a spiced gin. It would pair well with various savoury nibbles, accompanied by a cool gin and tonic.

8.3

Nose
Complex with juniper to the fore, balanced by citrus fruit, some rooty notes and a hint of spice.

Palate
Rich, slightly oily, smooth and complex. Juniper, melon, fresh citrus and stone fruits, play with herbs and spices.

Finish
Medium length. Clean, dry and gentle with a slight fruitiness.

Comments
A perfectly made, nicely balanced and versatile mixing gin that should appeal to traditional gin lovers. Perfect for a Dry Martini but also a G&T with a light tonic.

Score

8.9
