Check out these new retro sweet-flavoured gin liqueurs

The owner of a craft spirits distillery in Kent is celebrating retro sweet flavours in a new range of gin liqueurs.

Russell Distillers, which owns Copper Rivet Distillery, has launched the R3 range of flavoured gin liqueurs to broaden its range, which currently includes gin, vodka and whisky.

The field-to-bottle distiller has celebrated classic sweetie flavours in the new range, which includes Jaffa Cake, Rhubarb and Custard, Lemon Sherbert and Cola Bottle flavour liqueurs.

With this new range, Russell Distillers hopes to make its mark on the mainstream consumer market, in addition to its trade business which supplies restaurants, bars and hotels. It also plays into the trend for flavoured gins and gin-based liqueurs, which is continuing to grow.

Stephen Russell, one of the founders of Russell Distillers and the business’s commercial director, said: “As a result of the pandemic, we’ve accelerated plans to broaden and diversify Russell Distillers’ capabilities.

“While there remains a substantial and growing customer base who seek out what we are known for and what I call ‘serious’ spirits, there is a new opportunity to engage consumers who want fun spirits, and that is why we have launched R3.”

The launch of the R3 range comes after Russell Distillers secured £1 million in debt financing from HSBC UK.
