Nose
Extremely green and leafy on the nose with mint, lemon balm, and sweet anise aromas coming out.

Palate
Oily in texture with notes of baking spice – cassia, nutmeg, and ginger – before the gin moves onto more leafy stem and some vegetal flavours.

Finish
Crème brûlée and general sweet spice with just a touch of caraway.

Comments
An interesting aged gin; whilst the wood notes are subdued, the flavour is brightened with a flurry of spices.

Score

7.8

Nose
There is a real honey sweetness coming through against creamy vanilla and a touch of nutmeg.

Palate
It’s quite sweet, with a big whack of light acacia-style honey, vanilla buttercream, and hints of oak and Iced Gems. Juniper and a hint of grapefruit citrus to it.

Finish
A drying end with coriander spice alongside a continuing vanilla and honey note.

Comments
A nice aged gin with just enough influence from the barrel.

Score

8.5
