Nose
Clean juniper notes with a dash of pine and sweet lemon.

Palate
A thick and luscious texture with a good level of sweetness and clean juniper flavours, before hints of violet and jasmine come out.

Finish
A lingering sweetness on the palate with spice and chocolate notes along with a delightful creaminess to it.

Comments
A fine example of an Old Tom gin: botanically intense with just the right level of sweetness. This would be perfect in a Tuxedo cocktail.

Score

8.9

Nose
A slight dried flower or hay mustiness, juniper and a touch of spice. It’s accompanied by orange marmalade on whole-wheat toast.

Palate
That orange marmalade gets sweeter, heading towards candied orange peel, which balances nicely with the resinous juniper.

Finish
The sweet orange dissipates and the spice takes over, with a pleasant heat.

Comments
A decent Old Tom with balanced sweetness that would work nicely with tonic and an orange garnish.

Score

8.3
