Nose
Luscious fruit with the creamy character of strawberries. Some dryer fruit aromas, too, and a slight acidity.

Palate
Extremely creamy on the palate – just like blackberries and clotted cream: rich and indulgent. There are also spiced notes. There’s a good balance of sweetness; just enough to bring out the fruit flavours.

Finish
A dry finish – this is where the gin character resides – with a prickle of warmth.

Comments
With its creamy character, I’d love to try this in a punchy Gin Alexander.

Score

7.9

Nose
Summer fruits macerated with sweet sherry: creamy strawberries, plums and blackcurrants. Cinnamon-stick spice with a tiny spritz of grapefruit zest.

Palate
Those fruits get juicier, like the juices left behind in the dish of a baked fruit cobbler and with touches of the sweet cobbles. A hint of waxy juniper.

Finish
The fruits fade out with a warming plum and orange note.

Comments
I’d love to mix this with a splash of Cava and orange bitters to tease out some of those heavy fruit flavours.

Score

8.6
