Nose
The floral fruitiness of pomegranate with a touch of jasmine and the crisp, vibrant zestiness of grapefruit.

Palate
Notably leafy to start – almost stalky – this reminds me a bit of lemon verbena, but the vegetal elements give it a reviving freshness. Tart pomegranate notes come through, followed by a citrus and pine combination.

Finish
Lingering grapefruit, orange and pine needles make up a crisp and clean finish.

Comments
A well-executed gin that would be sublime with tonic water.

9.0

Nose
Waxy pink grapefruit peel, hints of pomegranate (flesh and seeds), juniper and something a little herbal – perhaps thyme? The grapefruit gets juicier over time.

Palate
Much more herbal: coriander (leaves and stalks), lemon thyme, maybe a hint of mint. Juicy grapefruit comes later.

Finish
Hot and drying with more waxy grapefruit peel and a hit of juniper.

Comments
A simple serve with tonic water or soda and a grapefruit and thyme garnish could really amplify this.

Score

8.2
