Nose
Juniper and citrus with lightly floral, earthy angelica. On the face of it, this has a pretty classic profile.

Palate
A very smooth spirit: elegant, with an earthiness that – this time – comes in the form of orris with a splash of crystallised violets. A chocolate hint welcomes the spicy warmth of coriander.

Finish
The spicy warmth continues, along with lighter notes of pepper and chocolate too.

Comments
A rather classic gin; a good all-rounder for classics such as a Gin & Tonic or Martini.

Score

7.8

Nose
Spicy and dry, with piney juniper, lemony coriander, a hint of orange and maybe a little salinity.

Palate
Quite smooth but with a little heat. There are big juniper notes with more lemon and an earthy, dry spiciness – coriander seed and perhaps cassia bark.

Finish
Fragrant orange with a little juniper lick. Leaves some dryness behind it.

Comments
It would make a good partner for classic tonic water, or perhaps a Martini with lemon.

Score

8.0
