Nose
Meadow flowers on the nose: soft with a hint of talc, liquorice root and a citrusy sherbert hit.

Palate
Notes of white grape are followed by complex floral flavours including jammy hibiscus and hay-like chamomile. There is some gentle sweetness that develops into honeyed juniper.

Finish
Lingering with gradually building notes of juniper as well as a fresh, stalky note.

Comments
Refined with great complexity: restrained, yet enticing. A great choice for any drink that also uses sparkling wine.

Score

8.7

Nose
Creamy with a minty note, like fresh muddled mint leaves and buttercream. Tart hedgerow berries and an aniseed hint. Slightly oily juniper there too.

Palate
hose aniseed flavours take over: liquorice root, fennel seeds, anise spice, balanced with juniper that comes later in the palate. Very smooth and light.

Finish
The liquorice notes hang on with a little alcohol prickle.

Comments
Intriguing. Perhaps it would be best just sipped over ice to appreciate that aniseed flavour.

Score

8.7
