Nose
Leafy and aromatic. Sweet liquorice and cocoa leaf notes along with dewy green notes and marshmallow, too.

Palate
A rich, thick texture with juniper and pine upfront, followed by the zestiness of lemon and orange. A gentle alcohol warmth, but no real burn.

Finish
Dry, earthy notes that combine with menthol and black pepper, which lingers on the palate.

Comments
A crisp gin, reasonably classic, but with a contemporary twist. A good gin to pair with a herbal tonic or ginger ale.

Score

8.2

Nose
Raspberry, blackcurrant, heavy sherbet lemon notes, spicy juniper and a slightly salty, savoury edge too.

Palate
Much more juniper comes through with brighter lemon and spicy hints – coriander and maybe a little cardamom.

Finish
Warming and a little waxy with more juniper making an appearance. It’s medium in length.

Comments
I’d like to open this out in a G&T, probably with a Mediterranean tonic

Score

7.8
