When you think of pepping up a mulled wine or cider, we imagine your mind might go to rum, whisk(e)y or calvados as the spirit of choice – but why not gin? This sweet and zesty mulled cider recipe uses One Sage Gin to bring a new dimension to the classic autumnal drink.

Hot Gin & Cider
Ingredients
- 750ml good-quality dry cider
- 150ml One Gin
- 50ml honey
- 2 x mulling spice bags (available from supermarkets)
- Peel of 1 orange and 1 lemon (discarding the pith)
- 1 orange and 1 lemon, sliced
Method
Add the mulling spice bags, orange and lemon peel slices and cider to a saucepan and warm gently. Once hot, stir in the honey, add the One Gin and ladle into mugs to serve.
