Nose
Fresh hay with notes of shortbread-like citrus; all followed by malty coriander.

Palate
Complex, leafy herbal notes, followed by woody pine and fresh mint leaves. Aromatic hints of matcha tea develop.

Finish
The mint transforms into a deeper, more peppery note that lingers on the finish, reminiscent of cubeb berries or grains of paradise.

Comments
A very pronounced gin with intricate herbal notes and lingering menthol pepper. I can imagine it would make a marvellous Negroni.

Score

8.1

Nose
Chopped basil and freshly squeezed lemons are followed by juniper, with a hint of roasted sweet chestnut, nutmeg, anise and coriander seed.

Palate
Hugely herbal but with the acidic cut of citrus fruit and summer berries making it luscious and edgy.

Finish
Long and fairly dry with Mediterranean herbs and a touch of cracked pepper.

Comments
A bold and refreshing style of gin that could be served with a Mediterranean style tonic, or in a Negroni (equal parts red vermouth, gin and Campari over ice).

Score

8.8
