Nose
A fresh, green leafiness with a hint of salinity and floral notes.

Palate
This has a rich mouthfeel and good integration of the alcohol, along with an earthy, liquorice root sweetness. Succulent fruitiness then green notes that develop into fresh vegetal flavours and a little saltiness.

Finish
Sweet floral notes combined with a lingering heat of menthol peppercorns.

Comments
Good integration and complexity. It would stand up well to mixing, but I’d love to try it in a Spanish-style Gin Tonica.

Score

8.8

Nose
Green and earthy, with just enough of salty, savoury tang to it.

Palate
Lovely balance between salt and citrus sweetness to begin with before that parts leaving both lemon and liquorice root. A slightly creamy, malt note finishes things up.

Finish
Long and hot, with a little of the base alcohol coming through at the end.

Comments
A great combination of sweet and savoury flavours that showcases the distillers’ integration. For me this would shine in a truly punchy, salty, dirty Martini.

Score

8.8
