Nose
Soft and nutty with tea-like tannins before rich, slightly dusky, jammy aromas of bilberries.

Palate
A plump fruitiness and very restrained sweetness; any sugar is coming from the berries, giving the spirit an authentic quality. In addition to the rich fruit, there are nutty, creamy notes and spice.

Finish
Dry and tannic, which harmonises with final flickers of juniper.

Comments
A great example of a fruit gin. Flavours are captured well and gin character comes clearly in what is a well-balanced spirit.

Score

8.5

Nose
On dilution, juniper, herbs and warm spices. Blueberry and sweet vanilla which cuts through the alcohol vapour.

Palate
Creamy, slightly candied and caramelised mouthful of blueberry muffins, and black forest fruits.

Finish
Burnt sugar, vanilla and butter then warm and spicy with a sweet fruitiness.  Juniper lingers with a bittersweet citrus edge.

Comments
A nice combination of sweet and sour, fruitiness and spiciness, one for sipping over ice or adding to a gin punch.

Score

7.9
