Premium gin brand Bombay Sapphire is partnering with up-and-coming artists in a new campaign to promote its latest release, Bombay Bramble.
As part of the Ripe For Discovery campaign – part of its wider ‘Stir Creativity’ initiative – Bombay Sapphire has collaborated with three artists to design limited-edition artwork labels for its blackberry and raspberry-flavoured Bramble expression.
The artists Rose Electra Harris, Alfie Kungu and Charlotte McDonald were commissioned in partnership with actor, art lover and previous Bombay Sapphire collaborator Russell Tovey. Their unique bottle designs will be available exclusively through Selfridges, either online or in-store (once non-essential retail reopens after England’s second Covid-19 lockdown).
As well as enjoying a limited-edition artistic design, purchasers will also be able to personalise their Bombay Bramble bottle with their name or that of a loved one with gold foiled lettering to make a special Christmas gift. In-store shoppers can take their bottles away in limited-edition tote bags featuring larger-scale versions of the artworks.
Russell Tovey said: “It’s a pleasure to be given the chance to showcase these three incredible artists at this exciting stage of their careers, and to see their creativity coming to life on these beautiful bottles, which will now live on people’s drinks cabinets as pieces of art.”
In its ongoing commitment to helping emerging creative talent, Bombay Sapphire has also made a donation to the Artists’ Benevolent Fund, which directly supports graduate artists. The upfront donation of £10,000 will be followed by 6 per cent of the sale price of the first 3,000 limited-edition Bramble bottles sold through Selfridges.
Natasha Curtin, Bombay Sapphire global VP, said: “2020 has been a year where creative communities have been squeezed and creativity has become even more important in terms of self-expression and connection.
“Bombay Sapphire has always proudly supported and championed creativity and with the launch of the Ripe For Discovery Artist Series, we are delighted to continue to showcase brilliant, emerging artists as well as give back financially to the Artists’ Benevolent Fund. We hope that our gin lovers are as excited as we are to get their hands on a beautiful, personalised piece of art as well as the delicious new Bombay Bramble gin.”
