Manchester Gin makers launch their first vodka

The Spirit of Manchester Distillery – home to Manchester Gin – has announced the release of its first vodka.

Manchester Spirit Grain Vodka was created for use in the distillery’s cocktail bar, Three Little Words, and is intended to be clean and versatile for use in a variety of drinks. The botanical vodka has already impressed industry experts from Spirits Masters and been awarded Vodka Master status.

Created by master distillers and Manchester Gin founders Jen Wiggins and Seb Heeley, the 40% ABV vodka is distilled in bespoke copper pot stills and has a bottle and branding to match the Manchester Gin range.

Jen and Seb said: “We are very proud of Manchester Gin and love to work with it in cocktails – creating Manchester Spirit Vodka has been an exciting next step and has been great fun. The vodka has been wonderfully received in Three Little Words as it has delicate characteristics that make it perfect for blending behind the bar.

“There’s a huge variety of premium vodkas out there and it’s been fantastic to bring our own unique spirit to the market.”

Manchester Spirit Vodka is available from Hammonds of Knutsford, C&O Wines and direct from the Manchester Gin website. It is currently available in a 500ml bottle and will launch in 700ml format later this year.
