Who’s ready for Bee’s Knees Week?

American gin maker Caledonia Spirits is gearing up for its annual cocktail-themed initiative Bee’s Knees Week – and wants you to join in.

The Vermont-based distiller behind Barr Hill Spirits has again launched Bee’s Knees Week, which kicks off today (18 September) and will run until 27 September. It pays homage to the use of raw northern honey in its flagship Barr Hill Gin, and to the classic honey-based cocktail.

And because it wouldn’t be a 2020 event without one, there’s a twist: instead of taking donations as it normally does during the event, Caledonia Spirits will be planting 10 square feet of bee habitat for every Barr Hill Bee’s Knees cocktail that’s consumed.

This year, Bee’s Knees Week will not only include participating bars and restaurants and their cocktail sales, but people can also take part at home and enjoy a Bee’s Knees cocktail from the comfort of their own couch. All you need to do is:

  1. Order a Barr Hill Bee’s Knees cocktail at a participating venue, or make one at home
  2. Share a photo of the cocktail on social media using #beeskneesweek2020, tagging @barrhillgin, and tagging the bar, restaurant or store where you purchased Barr Hill Gin

Barr Hill spirits can be purchased online or at liquor stores around the US – see the distillery’s website for more details.
