Yorkshire craft gin maker Mill House Distillery has added some summer freshness to its range with two gin liqueurs.
The distillery, based in a former tobacco mill in Cottingham, East Yorkshire, has launched the strawberry and lime and cherry and honey gin liqueurs as an extension to its Kingtree range of spirits.
It follows the launch of its first Kingtree gins, the original Dry Gin and Apple Infused Spiced Gin, less than a year ago.
The Kingtree Strawberry and Lime gin liqueur is infused with local strawberries and lime zest for a fruity drink with a citrusy top note, while the Kingtree Cherry and Honey liqueur is made with dark cherries and sweetened with honey.
£1 from the sale of every 50cl bottle of the liqueurs will go to the Hull-based charity Plant A Tree Today Foundation, which helps to create and preserve bee, butterfly and wooded habitats.
Mill House Distillery founder and head distiller John Cook said: “We are embedded in the community within East Yorkshire, and our local environment is hugely important to everything we do. We have a real passion for our little part of the area and wanted to give something back.”
He added: “With gin now one of the UK’s best-selling spirits, we are proud to be seen as one of the region’s most innovative distilleries of distinctive premium gin, providing even more flavour combinations for gin lovers will all of the heart you’d expect from a company with true Yorkshire passion.”
