Those of you who are lucky enough to have your own herb gardens can make use of them here, as this recipe from Greenall’s Gin calls for an assortment of fresh ingredients. If not, shop-bought will do just fine; and either way, with its combination of aromatics and citrusy lemon juice, this cocktail is a sunny summer’s garden in a glass!
Herb Garden
Ingredients
- 50ml Greenall’s gin
- 1 sprig rosemary
- 3 thyme sprigs
- 5 mint leaves
- 20ml simple syrup
- 20ml lemon juice
Method
Shake all ingredients with ice, and strain over cubed ice in a large tumbler. If you have a cocktail shaker, there’s no need to strip the herbs from the stem, as the woody parts will remain in the shaker; if you don’t have one, simply strain the cocktail instead. Garnish with more sprigs of mint, thyme and rosemary.
