Cocktail of the week

Across the UK people are preparing for the upcoming Easter weekend – which, due to the coronavirus lockdown, is likely to be somewhat different to normal.

Whereas the long weekend would ordinary bring meetings or outings with family and friends, and probably a trip to the pub to take advantage of the bank holiday, social distancing means many of us will be unwrapping our Easter eggs alone at home this year.

However, gin producer Whitley Neill has come to the rescue with a selection of Easter cocktails to bring a bit more festive cheer to the weekend.

For our cocktail of the week we’ve chosen the Easter Highball, with Whitley Neill’ original gin. While there may not be any extra chocolate in this one, there is Aperol: a harbinger of the advancing warm weather and the seasonal return of the beloved Aperol Spritz.

Easter Highball


  • 35ml Whitley Neill Original Gin
  • 15ml Aperol
  • Lemonade top up


Pour ingredients into a highball glass over cubed ice. Garnish with an orange slice.
