It’s been a couple of weeks since the UK’s bars, pubs, clubs and restaurants shut their doors in the country’s coronavirus lockdown, and we’re finding ways to make the best of our new reality. The digital sphere is enabling friends and family to catch up from nearby or far-flung places – and plenty of people, bars and brands are serving up ideas to make your video chats more of a social occasion.
Whether it’s a selection of lockdown cocktails, organising a ‘virtual happy hour’ (perhaps in support of your favourite bar or pub), or streaming cocktail masterclasses to up your at-home drinks game, there are plenty of ways to bring the bar experience to your living room. And we want to do our bit, with regular cocktail recipes to brighten your week!
Up this week is a classic Fitzgerald, courtesy of New York Distilling Company and its Dorothy Parker Gin (named after the witty American writer who made her name in the early 20th century, alongside the Fitzgerald).
