Bring the bar to you in lockdown with Boë Gin Cocktail Club

Since the coronavirus lockdown in the UK has stopped people getting out to their favourite bars and clubs, Boë Gin is helping to bring the bar to the people.

The producer is launching a new virtual cocktail club this weekend (Saturday, 4 April), which will bring top UK bartenders together to show viewers how they can bring a touch of class to their weekend tipples.

Guest bartenders will help make your cocktails taste their best, whatever equipment you have at your disposal, with top tips and tricks of the trade.

The doors of the virtual club will be opened on Saturday at 7pm on Facebook Live by travelling bartender Neil Patterson, who has created cocktails for the likes of Joey Essex and Amy MacDonald.

Neil will be on-air to answer questions from guests as well as creating a range of cocktails which can be whipped up at home. The event will be accompanied by the club’s personal Spotify playlist, and there will be online discounts and prizes on offer to viewers.

It will be the first in a series of Boë Cocktail Club nights, taking place every Saturday over the coming weeks. The events are open to over-18s only and can be accessed via the Boë Gin Facebook page.

Andrew Richardson, director at Boë Gin, said: “Despite a change of venue, the last thing we want everyone to do is feel bored at home on their weekends. We want to give them a chance to learn some easy at-home cocktails with some of the UK’s best bartenders – a chance to add some colour and fun to a night spent staying in.”

Other companies are helping to bring some cocktail magic to lockdown life including these make-at-home cocktail packs from Speciality Brands and The Whisky Exchange and these Saturday night gin masterclasses from Slingsby.
