Get into the springtime spirit with Bloom’s new floral gins

As spring comes into bloom across the UK, two new fruity and floral spirits from Bloom Gin are ready to hit the shelves.

The Passionfruit and Vanilla Blossom Gin and Raspberry and Rose Gin have been inspired by hot trends on the cocktail scene as the distillery looks to grow its slice of the flavoured gin market.

Made without sugar or sweeteners and bottled at 40% ABV, the former expression is inspired by the Pornstar Martini – the UK’s most popular cocktail – while the latter takes inspiration from a Raspberry Mojito and is intended by Bloom to be a “more sophisticated” pink gin.

The new releases will also bring a revamped bottle label design for Bloom’s Fruit and Floral Fusions range, with illustrations of the botanicals in each expression and a neck tag showing Bloom Gin’s signature cocktail services, including lower-calorie versions of the Pornstar Martini and Raspberry Mojito.

Flavoured gins are getting ever more popular with consumers, clocking up growth of £82 million in the off-trade in 2019 according to IRI figures, while data from CGA revealed cocktails to be one of the fastest growing categories in spirits last year.

Elaine Maher, Bloom Gin global brand director, said: “Bloom Gin is loved by fans for its style, sass and substance and with the introduction of our new Fruit and Floral Fusion gins, we’re giving them the unmistakably smooth taste of Bloom Gin with two of the hottest cocktail flavour trends incorporated.

“We’re confident that our new Fruit and Floral Fusions will delight customers, especially over the summer months. We hope they will inspire customers to further experiment with flavoured gin, recreating their favourite cocktails at home.”

Bloom’s Passionfruit and Vanilla Blossom Gin and Raspberry and Rose Gin will be available to buy from Tesco (in store and online) and via Amazon from May, with a recommended price of £25 for a 70cl bottle.
