Bombay Sapphire unveils first ‘ready-to-drink’ beverage

Bombay Sapphire is poised to take its first slice of the ready-to-drink (RTD) market with the launch of a new product.

Bombay Sapphire and Tonic comprises an ideal serve of the premium vapour-infused gin and mixer. The beverage, which comes in at 6.5% ABV, is presented in 250ml, 100-per-cent recyclable cans.

Its first stockist will be Ocado, where it is available for £2.80 per can, followed by other UK supermarkets and convenience stores in the summer – just in time for picnic and barbecue season.

Studies have revealed RTD was the fastest-growing category in the UK alcohol market in 2019, driven by demand from consumers with busy lifestyles for whom convenience is king.

Victoria Morris, vice president at Bombay Sapphire, said: “The development of Bombay Sapphire and Tonic took time for good reason, as we know our consumers expect only the very best from us and we are extremely proud to say that we’ve created a ready-to-drink befitting the Bombay Sapphire name in terms of taste, quality, craft and ingredients.”
