Nose
Notably aromatic with lots of fruit notes: blackcurrant and raspberry in particular, then perfumed violet.

Palate
Lots of floral notes to start: coriander and genuine notes of violet and rose, accompanied by a jammy sweetness. Notes of berry follow, along with citrus.

Finish
Earthy angelica and orris make this a soft, but lasting finish with menthol pepper.

Comments
A powerful and flavoursome gin that is sweet, but balanced. It would make an interesting choice for a full-bodied Aviation cocktail.

Score

7.8

Nose
Well-balanced nose between forward berry notes and more subtle floral ones. Parma violets and some lavender.

Palate
Liquid Parma violet. Oily, slightly sticky mouthfeel and very forward. Once that initial note fades a vibrant citrus starts to cut through.

Finish
Long-length with both the Parma violet note and citrus remaining.

Comments
Classic gin botanicals would balance it nicely. Consumed long, there will be a market for it with some strong tonic.

Score

7.3
