Cobnut Ghost Gin (Greensand Ridge)

Sam Coyne – 8.5
Nose: A subtle raspberry note, before following with a faint custardy note that reminds you of fresh Danish pastries.
Palate: Opens with subtle juniper that wasn’t present on the nose. Raspberry too. Coriander comes to the fore, bringing a citrus note, before honey and barley arrive.
Finish: Middling length, raspberries topped with honey.
Comments: A truly tasty number. Good balance. Served in a berry-heavy bramble or with an elderflower tonic? Either way sounds good to me.
David T. Smith – 8.9
Nose: Clean with crisp juniper and bright flash of lime.
Palate: Good, solid juniper notes mixed with citrus and some earthiness. A well-constructed and balanced gin with a pleasant moutfeel.
Finish: Clean on the finish with a touch of residual juniper, a gentle glow from the alcohol, and a pinch of spice.
Comments: A very pleasant, well-made gin with an equilibrium between its flavours. A good choice for an elegant Martini.
