David T. Smith

Nose
Soft, aromatic woody notes: oak and spice with pine and juniper, too. Wonderfully inviting.

Palate
Bright gold in colour, with an amazing mouthfeel – thick and luxurious. Initial notes of Crêpes Suzette make way for mellow wood, toffee, and chocolate.

Finish
Botanical notes of citrus and juniper reappear and linger for a long and interesting finish.

Comments
A well balanced product with the wood and botanicals in harmony. A lovely choice to sip on-the-rocks or in a Negroni.

9.2

Nose
Forward with vanilla and cinnamon. Perhaps one for the whisky lovers?

Palate
PUNCHY. Welcome to spice; vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and the faint sweetness of ginger. Bourbon-gin. The vanilla/juniper hybrid isn’t exactly shy. Honey barley notes then smooth out the edges.

Finish
Long and spicy – as you’d expect from something that’s spent some time in a cask.

Comments
This could really grow on you. For its style, this is some good stuff. Makes an excellent Gin Old Fashioned.
