Spiced – could easily be in a bakery at this point. Fresh focaccia. Juniper comes through near the end.
Rich, yet spicy. Punchy too. Orange peel and honeyed barley. Lavender. Juniper plays the role of extra here.
Long – more of the piney juniper than you got immediately on the palate.
Dynamic, with lots going on. The palate is a little all over the place, but it stands up nicely in tonic. Drink in a G&T with lots of ice and a skewered garnish of crystal ginger.
Prominent cinnamon is there from the off, as well as a herbal edge, maybe thyme, joining the party and juniper rounding it up.
More spices kick in to join to create a really rich and punchy combination. There’s an orange tang and sweetness, met with the herbs from earlier which give it a deliciously bitter twist.
A long finish with peppery spice remaining.
Exactly what I would like from a gin, will definitely enjoy this in a G&T with a slice of grapefruit.
