Sam Coyne – 7.4
Nose: Bursts of citrus and juniper. These part to a honeyed note.
Palate: Orange and lemon work together to lead with citrus, before something herbal – perhaps coriander.
Finish: Gone before you know it. This thrives with tonic, which jolts it to life a little, delivering a refreshing citrus not dissimilar to those fizzy Refresher sherbets.
Comments: Doesn’t welcome you in with open arms. Hard to look past a
gin and tonic, which once poured out proves a refreshing, summery, number.
Phoebe Calver – 7.6
Nose: The nose on this is packed full of rich and spicy punch. That is quickly replaced by citrus and a fresh hit, like walking through a pine forest first thing.
Taste: The initial mouthfeel is silky smooth and with an obvious juniper hit and remaining citrus. That freshness is still there and leaves you with a nicely cleansed palate.
Finish: It get’s pretty dry in there at the end, but the citrus is back..
Comments: Fresh and relativley punchy, helped by a little tonic.
