Sam Coyne

Nose
Juniper laden, with funky citrus zests. A little vanilla behind the scenes.

Palate
Piney juniper, a touch of coriander and altogether you have a herbal number. Citrus cuts through that eventually with a puckering pink grapefruit note. Livens things up a little.

Finish
Long and satisfying. Indian tonic really enhances the pink grapefruit.

Comments
Good execution of specific botanicals – juniper is crisp and clear, citrus punchy and the vanilla holds it all together.

Score

8.1

Phoebe Calver

Nose
Floral from the off, but with a little spray of orange and light vanilla notes.

Taste
The floral theme continues, but isn’t as overpowering as I was expecting. It moves to the back to make way for a sweetness and warmth and unmistakably juniper is there.

Finish
There is a lot of flavour going on which remains long after the warmth of the alcohol wears off.

Comments
Packed full of complex aspects that make it delightfully sippable.

Score

8.2
