David T. Smith

Nose
Indulgent and rich with decadent, plump fruity notes of peaches, strawberries, and cream.

Taste
A rich, fruity creaminess, as well as vanilla, that really fills the mouth and is followed by notes of flambé orange.

Finish
More orange on the finish with a hint of sappy cedar and honey.

Comments
A marvellous example of a contemporary gin that is very easy to sip; it would work wonders in a Ramos Gin Fizz or a French ‘75.

Score

8.9

Nose
Rich and enticing, chocolate with nuts and raisins, dark forest fruits, liquorice, ginger and juniper.

Palate
Full flavoured with bitter cocoa, vanilla and ground coffee beans mingle with juicy oranges, macadamia nuts and rich fruitcake flavours.

Finish
Long, dry and deliciously chocolaty with a pinch of pepper. Not too sweet, leaving you wanting more.

Comments
This unusual gin could make an interesting cocktail base, but serve neat over ice cubes with a sprig of mint or orange slice to garnish.

9.0
