Nose
Soft, fruity notes with the sweetness of raisin and savoury aromas of tomato with a pinch of cinnamon.

Taste
Plenty of sweet spice on the palate: cinnamon, cassia and cloves. Slightly woody with fruity hints of raisin and candied peel. A touch of saffron makes it reminiscent of Simnel cake.

Finish
More woody on the finish, with notes of dry spice and earthy chocolate.

Comments
A fine, full-bodied gin with a bold character that would make a very handsome Negroni.

Score

9.1

Nose
Sweet and rich with vanilla, clove, liquorice root and cinnamon and a little juniper, rose and meadowsweet.

Palate
Oily and peppery with some refreshing citrus zest emerging along with satisfyingly warm baking spices.

Finish
Long lasting and creamy with cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves and black pepper remaining.

Comments
A pleasant drink that would work well in a Dry Martini or Spritz (gin, vermouth and tonic) with a twist of orange or lemon peel.

Score

8.2
