Nose
Lemon with leafy, herbal notes of basil and lemon thyme. A little orange jelly too.

Taste
Good and soft in texture – very smooth – with some earthy floral notes from orris root and angelica that also provides a nice chocolatey flavour.

Finish
A bone dry finish that is crisp, with a modest citrus sparkle.

Comments
A lovely example of a classic gin that would work well in staple gin drinks such as the Gin & Tonic or Martini.

Score

8.7

Nose
Gentle with spruce and rooty notes, topped with wafts of lemon, honeysuckle and mint.

Palate
A finely balanced and undemonstrative gin. Light, creamy and easy with a mix of juniper, angelica, liquorice, peppery herbs and citrus flavours.

Finish
Mild and lightly fruity – very pleasant but fairly short.

Comments
A well-made, versatile and approachable gin with a delicate flavour. A good one for cocktails, such as a Dry Martini, and for experimenting with flavoured tonics.

Score

8.1
