David T. Smith

Nose
Bold and powerful with plenty of spice: clove, mace, and cassia, anise and wintergreen – sweet and aromatic.

Palate
Big red cassia upfront with a smooth and pleasant texture. Peanut brittle, before wintergreen and chamomile arrive; sweet, but light with an elegant complexity.

Finish
Pine jelly with oily coriander and the mellow complexity of honey roasted cashews.

Comments
Quite a sippable gin, with plenty of complexity to explore. A good option for a gin to pair with ginger ale.

Score

8.2

Felicity Murray

Nose
Grassy and herbal with hibiscus, lemongrass, bay leaves and Earl Grey tea. There’s just a hint of juniper and some fleshy fruit.

Palate
Now the citrus begins to shine through the oily mouthfeel with a gentle balance of zesty lime and soft juicy melon, set off by warm spices.

Finish
Soft and juicy with oranges, ginger and vanilla.

Comments
An easy to sip gin, but with enough guts to hold its own in a cocktail or G&T.

Score

8.8
