David T. Smith

Nose
Bright and vivacious. Sun kissed jammy notes of blood orange and a touch of Orangina.

Palate
A dry start with juniper and a gentle earthiness. Dry, oily citrus, before the plump, floral sweetness of blood orange.

Finish
Oily flavours of zesty grapefruit and a zip of bitter-sweet orange peel and perfumed citrus blossom, which lingers.

Comments
A nice flavoured gin. Botanicals are evident and the citrus is engaging. Go with prosecco or with ice and sparkling water.

Score

8.6

Felicity Murray

Nose
Tangerine zest, almonds, honey and a bouquet of garden herbs mixed with pine leaves.

Palate
Bittersweet oranges dominate, leaving traditional juniper-driven flavours waiting in the wings. Balanced and complex.

Finish
Satisfyingly long with the tang of bitter orange and ripe juniper berries that develop a sweeter edge.

Comments
Its sharp, clean taste and clear rose colour make it ideal for creating new cocktails. Could also be simply sipped, with or without ice, or mixed with a straight tonic.

Score

8.8
