Nose
Lovely, rich, and fruity with hints of cherry and peach. Sweet and inviting.

Palate
Great texture – thick and a little sweet. Big, bold juniper notes followed by citrus and pine blossom. Great balance between the botanicals and barrel.

Finish
A little honey along with spice and a little pepper. A long, lingering finish of cedar and citrus follows.

Comments
An intense and juniper-forward aged gin, that would be simply splendid in a Negroni.

Score

8.6

Nose
Shy at first, but opens up with wafts of sweet vanilla, bread and honey, chocolate, tangerines, cloves and baking spices.

Palate
Hot and spicy, rich and buttery with strong wood imparted flavours at first, then juniper and citrus emerges to add complexity and balance.

Finish
Creamy smooth with vanilla, lime and warm spices. Medium length.

Comments
The oak influence makes it a good replacement for rye whisky or Bourbon in Boulevardiers or Old Fashioneds.

Score

7.8
