Nose
Initially sweet, with buttered popcorn and rhubarb and custard candies.

Palate
Sweet, reminding me of rhubarb jam and brown sugar. A vanilla creaminess, with egg custard. Other botanicals are restrained, but include a little earthy angelica and orange.

Finish
Sweetness continues with a zip of rhubarb, before a final, dry ginger flavour.

Comments
A pleasant spirit. Would benefit from less sweetness and more botanical intensity. It could make great drinks however.

6.9

Nose
Sugary sweet rhubarb crumble and custard, with a tingle of gingery spice. Very little juniper.

Palate
Sweet with lots of mixed stewed fruit flavours coming through. There’s only a tiny hint of rhubarb tartness behind a jammy fruitiness.

Finish
Long, sweet and clawing.

Comments
Sip it neat over plenty of ice, or serve in a flute topped with sparking wine. Alternatively, mix with lemon tonic water and garnish with a lemon slice to balance the sweetness.

7.6
