Nose
Delicate floral rose and hibiscus before jammy berry fruit. Indulgent spiced waxy vanilla and tonka bean, before citrus.

Palate
Spicy, with the zesty spice of cracked coriander seed. Dry wood follows, before green leafy notes and pine needles, reminiscent of morning dew. Builds to citrus.

Finish
Long and lingering, helped by the ABV. Citrus peel and leaf combines with a green stalkiness; zesty and fresh.

Comments
A bold spirit, but doens’t overpower. Would make a different but enjoyable Negroni.

Score

8.6

Nose
An initial powerful hit of juniper, coriander seed, cardamom and zingy lemon zest. Left to breathe a while, some herbal and dusty, earthy notes emerge.

Palate
The alcohol needs to be diluted for the bold flavours of citrus and spice to be appreciated. Tangerines, oranges and lemons mingle with herbs and pepper.

Finish
Bitter orange marmalade, with a pinch of black pepper.

Comments
This citrusy gin is perfect for mixing in cocktails such as a Negroni, but would be delicious with tonic and a twist of orange peel.

Score

7.8
